Toys & Games Black Friday
Updated October 1, 2026
Tracking toy and game deals in Edmonton this Black Friday. From big-box toy aisles at WEM to independent game shops on Whyte Avenue.
Toy sales in Edmonton concentrate at the big-box anchors in West Edmonton Mall and the department stores at Southgate and Londonderry. On Black Friday, these retailers discount the year's hot toys, board game bundles, and gaming accessories at loss-leader prices designed to pull parents into the store.
Independent game shops on Whyte Avenue and near the university run smaller promotions — often 10 to 20% off board games and puzzles. They cannot compete on LEGO or licensed character toys, but they win on selection for hobbyists and strategy gamers. If your kid wants this year's must-have action figure, start at the mall. If you want a niche board game, check the independents.
